After you run the MacSonik GoDaddy Email Backup Tool, you will observe the screen displayed below:
You get two login options: Sign in to GoDaddy Webmail and Sign In to Office 365 Email(Not available for a Single-user license). Using the first option you can directly login to GoDaddy Webmail. The second option is to backup email from the Office 365 configured GoDaddy email account.
If you go with Sign In to Office 365 Email, you can either use the Modern Authentication method or Client Secret ID. For Modern Authentication, you need to enter the Office 365 email address from which you want to backup data. Click on Sign In. Further, provide authentication access to your Office 365 account.
Note: Sign In to Office 365 Email option is available for Admin, Technician, and Enterprise licenses only.
If you choose to log in to Office 365 using Client Secret ID, you need to provide the Application (Client) ID, Directory (Tenant) ID, Secret Value, and Microsoft Azure Admin ID. Click on Authenticate.
After successfully logging into the Office 365 configured GoDaddy account, choose among the mailbox options i.e., Primary Mailbox, Public folder, Online Archive. Click Next.
Next, from the list of all root folders of the chosen mailbox folder, select the folders you wish to migrate. Click Next.
Here, we proceed further with another sign-in option: Sign In to GoDaddy Webmail. Enter your GoDaddy Webmail credentials(Email Address and Password) and click on Sign In.
Now, the list of all GoDaddy Mailbox folders appears on the screen. Choose the necessary folders that you want to migrate, from the list and click Next.
On the next page of the tool, you see two backup options: Save in File Format and Migrate in Email Client. To backup GoDaddy emails in a specific file format, select the Save in File Format option. Or opt to Migrate in Email Clients to migrate GoDaddy emails directly to Office 365. Office 365, Yahoo Mail, Thunderbird, etc.
The Save in File Format option is selected by default. In the list of file formats, PST is the selected file format by default.
Apply the filters provided for precise and accurate backup:
Date Filter: Allows you to migrate GoDaddy Emails according to a set date range. Just set the Start and End dates to migrate emails and be done. Click Next.
Follow the steps 1 to 9 as mentioned above. Further, to migrate GoDaddy emails to Office 365, proceed as directed below:
Opt for the Migrate in Email Clients option. Expand the list of Email Clients and choose Office 365.
By default, you get to log in using the Modern authentication. Enter your Office 365 Email address and click on Sign In. Further, provide authentication access and you are successfully logged in to the destination Office 365 account.
You can also opt for the ‘Login with Client-ID and Secret value’ option. Enter the Application (Client) ID, Directory (Tenant) ID, Secret Value, and Microsoft Azure Admin ID. Click on the Authenticate button.
After a successful login to the destination Office 365, make the migration more accurate. Apply filters provided:
Choose the destination Office 365 mailbox (mailbox, Public Folder, Online archive). Click Next.
Follow the steps 1 to 9 as mentioned above. Further, to migrate GoDaddy emails to Gmail, proceed as directed below:
You can also choose to login to Gmail using the ‘Login With Modern Authentication’ method. Enter your Gmail ID and click Sign In.
Further, apply the filters provided:
Similarly. follow steps 1 to 9 as mentioned above and to backup GoDaddy emails to PDF, do as directed below:
