Software Working Process


Follow the steps to migrate multiple file formats and email clients into different email clients.

Step 1

Download and Install MacSonik Mail Migrator Tool.

Now, Select Office 365 Backup & Restore from the drop-down menu.

Select Backup Option to take the backup of your O365 mails.

In the next wizard users are required to fill the email credentials with Third-Party App Password.

In this wizard user can import multiple ID with the help of Import CSV option and also can select and deselect the ID according to the need for migration process.

Now, Choose the Option what users want to backup from the Office 365 Account and click on Next.

MailBox folder Option will appear in the Tree Structure, Check the Mails and Click on Next.

In the next page, choose Office 365 from drop-down menu to backup your emails.

Now, Enter the Ofice 365 mail ID and Click on the sign in menu to login.

Next, the User can check to remove duplicate emails to remove same files comparing it on different parameters and also can clean up server space after the migration process by selecting the options on the wizard.

Select Task Filter and Mail Filter to migrate the emails ranging between to the mentioned dates.

Provide a custom name to your resultant file by selecting Custom Folder Name.

Lastly, Click on Convert to start the migration process.

IMAP to Office 365 on macOS


Step 1

Choose IMAP from the drop-down menu.

Fill up the IMAP Credentials along with Host & Port number and click Sign in to login.

In this section Mailbox will appear in Tree Structure, check all and click on Next.

Now, Select Office 365 mail from the drop-down menu to transfer the IMAP mails.

On the next screen enter the Office 365 credentials and hit Sign in.

In this wizard to remove the duplicate emails, check to Remove Duplicate Mail on Basis of To, From, Subject, Bcc, Body. Users can also skip previously migrated emails and migrate the emails without attachments by selecting the relevant options according to requirements.

Using the Mail Filter Option users can easily filter the emails ranging between the mentioned date for migration. Provide custom to the resultant file by selecting the Custom folder name and click on the Convert button to start the migration process.

After the completion of migration user can view and download report from the wizard.

Migrate Gmail email to Office 365


Step 1

Select the Gmail option from the drop-down list.

Enter the Gmail login ID and Third-party app password and press the Sign In button.

Now, select the Gmail mailbox items from the displayed tree structure.

Here, choose Office 365 from Save/Backup/Migrate As drop-down menu.

Now, enter Office 365 login credentials and tap the Sign In button.

Check the following feature to customize the Gmail to Office 365 migration process.

  • Remove Duplicate Mail: To eliminate duplicate emails from the migration process.
  • Mail Folder Hierarchy: By default checked to maintain the original folder hierarchy throughout the process. 
  • Free up Server Space: It helps to delete the Gmail emails after migration.
  • Skip Previously Migrated Items: Removes previously migrated items from the current migration process.
  • Migrate or Backup without Attachment Files: To migrate or backup Gmail emails only.

Tick the Mail Filter option for selective email migration within a specified date range. Additionally, check the Custom Folder Name to enter the desired name of the resultant file.

Finally, click on the Convert button to start the migration process.

After successful migration, you can click the Download Report button to download the process repost.

Migrate PST to Office 365


Step 1

Select the Microsoft Outlook option from the drop-down menu.

Select the Single File or Multiple Files/Folders option to add PST files. Here, the selected option is Single File.

Press the Browse button and select the PST file. Click Open to add the selected PST file.

Now, click on the Next button to proceed with the migration process.

Here, the software will display the tree structure of the selected PST file. You can select a single folder to preview the folder items.

Select the required folder that you need to migrate into O365 and press the Next button.

Now, choose the saving option Office 365 from Save/Migrate/Backup As drop-down list.

In the next wizard, enter your Office 365 email ID and password (Third-party app password) and press the Sign In button.

Now, check the Remove Duplicate Mail to exclude the duplicate emails. Select Maintain Folder Hierarchy to preserve the original hierarchy of the folder. Additionally, check Migrate or Backup Emails without Attachments Files to migrate emails only.

Now, you can check the Mail Filter and Task Filter options to convert specific Outlook PST emails. Also, select the Custom Folder Name option to set the desired name of the resultant file.

Finally, click on the Convert button to start the migration of PST to O365.

Now, you have successfully completed the PST to Office 365 migration process. Click the Download Report button to inspect the complete process.
