Software Working Process


Backup Zoho mailboxes with their attachments into different file formats/email clients on macOS.

Step 1

Install and Launch MacSonik Zoho Email Backup Tool.

Enter the username & app password of Zoho and click the Sign In button.

Now, the software will display the entire mailboxes of the Zoho account in a tree structure.

Tick the folders that you need to backup from the Zoho account on macOS. Also, Tap Next.

Backup Zoho Mailboxes into PST Format on macOS

Select the PST option from the given drop-down list.

Check the software features if required.

  • Remove Duplicate Mail:- It helps to remove the duplicate emails from the Zoho mailboxes.
  • Maintain Folder Hierarchy:- Maintains the folder structure of the Zoho account after the process,
  • Free Up Server Space:- Check this feature if you want to delete entire Zoho emails after the backup process.
  • Skip Previously Migrated Items:- Opt for this feature, if you have used the MacSonik Zoho Backup Tool. It helps to exclude the earlier backed-up emails from the process.
  • Migrate or Backup Emails without Attachments Files:- It helps to backup only emails.
  • Split Resultant PST:- It helps to split the resultant PST files as per the user’s choice.
  • Set Backup Schedule:- Option to set the incremental backup of Zoho mailboxes.

You can also execute the selected backup of Zoho emails using the Mail filter feature of the software.

  • Enter the desired name in the Custom folder name feature to save the backup files with a name.

Now, click on the Path to Save button and select the saving location. Additionally, tap the Convert button.

After that, the process will get completed. Select either Start the migration early or Cancel All schedule migration.

The software also allows users to download the report using the Download Report button.

Backup Zoho Mailboxes into PDF Format

Start the process from step no. 1 to step no. 4 to backup Zoho mailboxes into PDF formats.

Select the PDF option from the drop-down.

Opt for the option Remove duplicate emails to exclude the identical or copied emails.

  • Maintain Folder Hierarchy:- It helps to keep the folder hierarchy as the original.
  • Save Attachments separately:- Check this feature to save the attachments files separately.
  • Convert Attachments to PDF Format:- It helps to convert all the attachments of Zoho mailboxes into PDF formats.

Check the feature Free Up Server Space if you want to delete Zoho emails after the backup process.

  • Skip Previously Migrated Items:- It helps to eject the earlier backed-up emails from the process. Opt for this feature, if you have used the MacSonik Zoho Backup Tool.
  • Migrate or Backup Emails without Attachments Files:- It is used to backup only emails.
  • Set Backup Schedule:- It is the smart feature to set the incremental backup of Zoho mailboxes.

Check the Mail filter feature and enter the required date. It helps to backup the desired emails from the Zoho mailboxes.

Also, enter any name in the Custom folder name to save the backup files with a particular name. Additionally, choose the format for saving resultant files using the Naming Convention feature.

Click on the Path to save button and select the saving location. After that, click on the Convert button.

Now, the process will get completed. You can choose the option either Start the migration early or Cancel All schedule migration.

Import Zoho Emails to Gmail Email Client on Mac

Follow the working procedures from 1 to 4 to import Zoho emails to your Gmail account.

Choose the option as Gmail from the displayed drop-down.

Enter the login credentials of Gmail and click on the Sign In button.

Now, select the required features from the software.

  • Remove duplicate mail to remove the duplicate emails from the process.
  • By default checked feature Maintain folder hierarchy to maintain the folder hierarchy.
  • Free up server space- Check this option to delete the emails after the backup process of the Zoho account.

Check the feature Skip previously migrated items to leave the previous backed up files using the MacSonik Zoho Email Backup Tool.

  • Migrate or backup emails without attachment files- Used for excluding the attachments from the emails.
  • Set backup schedule- Opt for this option to set the incremental process.

If you need to import only selected Zoho emails to Gmail, then check the option Mail filter and enter the required dates.

Opt for the Custom folder name and enter the desired name to save the file with the given name. Additionally, tap Convert.

Migrate Zoho Mailboxes to Office 365 Account on macOS

Follow the steps from 1 to 4 to migrate Zoho emails to Office 365 accounts on macOS.

Select Office 365 from the option Save/Backup/Migrate As.
